Red Stamp Pepper
Lezzet Spice's Red Stamp Pepper is sourced from the Southeastern Anatolia territory in Turkey.
With its own climate and fertile soil the region produces premium seeds that combine to produce some of the highest quality red pepper spices in the world. This mild pepper, with its heat building slowly, finishes on a slight sweet note. It works well with dishes that use ancho or crushed red pepper.
Flavors: Aromas of leather and sweet tobacco abound, not unlike that of figs and raisins-traits that are reinforced by the texture of the red stamp pepper. Taste is sweet, reminiscent of mild sun-dried tomatoes, with a pleasant heat that registers 8,000 on the Scoville scale, similar to Espelette pepper or a tame jalapeno.
Use: This is a most versatile pepper-use on top of pizza in place of red chili flake for a more dynamic, interesting addition, or in Mediterranean pasta dishes where the sour accents of capers, sun dried tomatoes will be enhanced by the pepper's acidity.
